Our most important task is to define a distinctly European technological path. One in which innovation and our democratic values go hand in hand. This means developing artificial intelligence that is transparent, explainable, and serves people, rather than replacing them. Europe must not rush into an uncontrolled race to be first; our strength lies in a sensible and responsible approach. By building trust and developing a truly European approach, we can increase the implementation of AI in our businesses and turn new technology into a real competitive advantage.
Our priority should be to integrate AI and new technologies into business and production processes, not only in large enterprises, but also in small and medium-sized businesses across all member states countries. This includes accessible European “AI factories,” high-performance computing centers, open and multilingual AI models, as well as empowering entrepreneurs to create their own solutions without reliance on foreign platforms. This would help us build our digital sovereignty, as well as accelerate our economic transformation.
