Today, Europe faces numerous challenges. From global economic shifts and technological transformations to growing geopolitical instability. Nevertheless, each of these challenges can also bring new opportunities for progress.

From the perspective of the European People’s Party, the key to unlocking these opportunities lies in focusing technology, education, and a growing economy that fosters job creation and innovation through global partnerships.

Indeed, these priorities guide my work – both in Bulgaria and at the European Parliament.

Prosperous Bulgaria

In my view, a prosperous Bulgaria means a strong economy, real opportunities for development, and a society that looks to the future with confidence. Achieving this requires three key elements: modern industry, quality education, and active support for entrepreneurs.

Bulgaria has the potential to be a regional engine of growth, but this requires a predictable environment in which businesses can invest, innovation can thrive, and young people can find opportunities at home.

Accessible Technologies

The future of Europe would be determined by whether we are successful in enabling and implementing trustworthy new technologies that would serve as an engine of growth and security. AI has the potential to modernise our industries and make them more competitive but success is not just about new software.

To truly embed technology in a safe and sustainable way, we must put people, and their trust, at the heart of innovation and technological advancement. Only then can AI be truly embedded in our economy.

Transatlantic Connection

The United States remains Europe’s key strategic partner and an indispensable ally in defending democratic values and our shared security. In an era of rapid innovation and global risks, transatlantic cooperation is essential for maintaining stability and for the establishment of common standards in new technologies.
